  1. Better than “downgrading Java to 32bit”, is to
    * download and set up JDK/JRE _64bit_
    * download and set up pdi-ce-stable-2.3.2 “as usual”
    * download swt-3.5.2-win32-win32-x86_64.zip from the eclipse site
    * extract swt.jar from swt-3.5.2-win32-win32-x86_64.zip archive
    * replace the swt.jar file in %pdi-home%\libswt\win32 with the extracted version

    Tried under Windows XP x64 and Windows 7 Ultimate x64. See no reason why it should not work under any other build of x64 windows.

  2. Hey,

    This solution saved me of a big problem. Thanks. Could I translate and put it in my site? My site is all about open source technologies and has a lot of information about kettle in Portuguese.

    Thanks

    • Thanks for the comment. Of course you may use this. As an open source fan I love to share my knowledge – I mean, if others didn’t than I wouldn’t be where I am, would I?

      I’d be delighted, of course, if you’ll refer to my entry – but that’s not mandatory.

Please comment. I really enjoy your thoughts!
