Just found this on the blog of Martin Weber:
The video is actually showing some of our politicians, and especially interesting is the one in the wheelchair. That is Wolfgang Schäuble, our politician for inner security. And for us it is a pity to have him, as he is trying to turn Germany into some kind of nightmare as shown in George Orwell’s 1984 (this is more on date than ever, so you should really all read this terrifying but fine novel!)
Anyway, in this video those kids are asking the politicians about how they feel and what is possible – and Schäuble of course is lying to them.
Martin Weber wrote on his blog:
Sag mal, wo soll dass denn noch hin führen, wenn du jetzt sogar schon die kleinen Kinder belügst?
Translation: “To where will you lead us if you know even start to lie at our kids?”
And he is totally right. But isn’t this a movement that one could foresee long ago? I mean look back at history. For every surveillance state you need lies and propaganda, because with the truth you wouldn’t make it. And that is what every politician keen on observing everybody knows. At least that’s what I guess.
So what else is there to do, than to get sarcastic? I guess those designers working at Lego also have a lot of sarcasm. Or what else do you need to invent such toys:
