I am a mid-twenty years old student of “Computer Science and Business Administration”. Before studies, I passed my A-levels (the German “Abitur”) with pretty good results, and finished my training for chemical-technical assistance. And while still going to school I used to be a coach for children swimming (besides doing it as active sports).
I do my studies in a special dual system at the FH Nordakademie, Elmshorn (a private, state-recognized, university of applied sciences), meaning that next to studying I am also an apprentice at a company, in my case at “Vestas Windsystems A/S”, world market leader at producing and selling “Wind Turbines”.
As my working place is somewhere else than my studying place, and as my family and my girlfriend live at different places (read my blog? We now live together. Yippee!) lives at a different place as well, I am most of the time somewhere in-between the cities Hamburg, Husum, Elmshorn, Bochum (my SO doesn’t live there anymore
) and Gröbenzell.
Beside studying and travelling around Germany I share great interest in all kind of sciences, but especially in Computer Science. Next to this I also like reading a lot, technical literature as well as fiction, especially fantasy fictions. I also follow the recent political and social subjects and like to discuss about them with other people, especially when it is about racism and integration problems in Germany, European issues, globalization, the middle east problem complex or American foreign politics.
For leisure time I also love to watch good movies, listen to music, visit concerts, travel around the world, dive, riding my bike, meeting with friends, and of course spending a lot of time online.
Oh, and by the way, I am a huge fan of open source software, and especially Linux. My favorite distribution is Gentoo.
In my future I take into consideration to become a consultant for IT security issues, or a politician (with focus on foreign issues), or to work in the research sector.
Oh… and by the way – if you ever wondered, what “PygoscelisPapua” means, and how somebody can come up with such a strange name:
It is the scientific name of the Gentoo penguin (in German “Eselspinguin”), and I chose it because on the one side it is a reference to my favorite Linux distribution and on the other side I am pretty sure that this nick is unique in the internet!

there is nothing like six feet under. but a lighter, somewhat interesting is a show called “wonder falls”
I am re-watching six feet with my boyfriend, who has never seen it. Totally changed my perception on life and now I am studying to be a thanatologist.
best wishes!
